Generally, we accept kids from 5 years old. However, we do sometimes accept 4.5 year olds, based on maturity level. There is no upper age limit.
When you first sign up, the introductory rate is $150 per student and $100 for every student in the same family thereafter (2 students $250, 3 students $350)
This introductory rate covers the first month of tuition, USJF membership (our national governing body, which is a requirement for all members) and a brand new judo gi.
After the first month, tuition is $75/month for the advanced class and $60/month for all other classes
As stated above, dues are $75 per month for the advanced class, or $60 per month for the other classes. Family discounts are available, ask about them when you sign up.
No. However, since we are a non-profit organization and all of our instructors donate their time to teach, we frequently do fundraisers and ask for donations, but it is not a requirement of membership.
We do not offer student discounts at this time.
You can come by EBJI (directions on the home page) or download them from the Resources section.
If you or your child would like to try a lesson before signing up, we do offer a free trial lessson. If you are interested, please come to the dojo 10-15 minutes before the appropriate class time to fill out some paperwork and borrow a uniform for that day. No appointment is necessary.
For all other questions, please feel free to contact EBJI.
