Sayaka Matsumoto earns a berth on the 2008 Olympic Team!

Hi Everyone

I would just like to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you for your help these past four years. Its been a long road and without your help and support I wouldn’t have been able to achieve any of my goals.

Thank you so much for being there to support me, whether it was with your encouragement and kind words, being on the mat, travelling with me, watching our cats, setting up extra restorative yoga sessions, etc, etc. Your willingness to go the extra mile to help me out has really touched me.

Sayaka Matsumoto successfully defended her #1 ranking in the USA this past weekend when she defeated fellow EBJI member Ann Shiraishi for the spot on the 2008 Olympic Team! Ann Shiraishi was named as the alternate in the -48kg category which qualified her for selection as a training partner who will accompany the team to Beijing.
